Dear Clients and Colleagues:
Barrila Law is committed to ensuring that we provide a healthy and safe working environment for our staff, clients, and the community that we serve. We continue to be guided by Centers for Disease Control, Public Health Agency of Canada, and World Health Organization which are closely monitoring developments from the recent outbreak of COVID–19. It is times like these where we need to be brave, innovative, and try new things.
Barrila Law will be supporting public health recommendations to reduce the spread of COVID-19 and do our part to help flatten the curve. All Barrila Law employees will work from home until further notice. We will reassess the situation from time to time.
Although our staff is working from home, our operations will continue, and we will continue to accept and complete legal matters. Our investments in technology allow us to communicate with clients and colleagues seamlessly via email, telephone, and fax just as if we were at the office. Our office phone line (905) 326-2767 remains open. That said, during this period we are asking you not to communicate with us via regular letter mail, courier, or registered mail – please use email, telephone, or fax instead.
Until further notice, we have decided to cancel all in-person meetings effective immediately. Instead, we are meeting and collaborating using telephone and secure videoconferencing. Where legal documents have to be signed, documents will be delivered through our secure document management portal, and documents will be signed electronically (where permissible). If you have an appointment currently scheduled, we will contact you to make alternate accommodations and to schedule a secure videoconference.
It appears that the situation with COVID-19 is ever-changing, and we may have to make further adjustments to our operations. We will continue to monitor the situation closely and will post updates to our website or social media accounts.
Please do not hesitate to contact Gaetano Barrila directly if you have any questions, comments, or concerns (905) 326-2767 ext. 111 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
We wish you and your families health, safety, and tranquility.
